Privacy Policy for Spook Box
Spook Box does not use a separate sign-up system. Optional sync relies on the same iCloud account
signed into your Apple devices.
1. Scope
- This Privacy Policy applies to the Spook Box app provided by H9B3 for iOS and macOS.
- The app is a paid private vault and file management app distributed through the App Store.
- The app can protect access with a 4-digit PIN, biometric authentication, and automatic lock.
2. Information the app may access or process
- The app may access files, folders, previews, and related metadata that you choose to import, open, move, rename, share, restore, or delete inside Spook Box.
- Related metadata may include file names, folder names, paths, sizes, timestamps, favorites, recent item state, trash state, and view preferences needed to operate the vault.
- If you import content from Apple Photos, the app may access the photos or videos you explicitly choose and the limited metadata required to import or organize them.
- If you use the built-in browser, the app may process bookmarks, browsing history, download metadata, and downloaded files. Bookmark data may sync through iCloud when sync is enabled. Browsing history is stored locally.
- If you enable iCloud sync, supported app data may be processed through Apple's CloudKit private database in connection with your personal iCloud account.
- The app may store lock preferences, app settings, language choice, and other local configuration needed to provide security and usability features.
- Biometric matching data such as Face ID or Touch ID scans is handled by Apple on your device. Spook Box does not receive or store the underlying biometric scan data.
- The app does not require a Spook Box account, social sign-in, or separate membership registration.
- The app does not request precise location information.
- Apple may provide limited technical or diagnostic information such as device type, operating system version, or crash-related information for troubleshooting and stability purposes.
3. How information is used
- To provide the core features of the app, including secure app entry, file organization, preview, search, favorites, recent items, trash, restore, and deletion workflows.
- To import files or photos you select and to move those items into the Spook Box vault.
- To provide optional sync for supported data across devices signed into the same iCloud account.
- To operate the built-in browser, bookmarks, downloads, and local history features.
- To respond to support requests if you contact H9B3 by email.
- To troubleshoot, secure, and improve the app.
H9B3 does not use your files, browser data, or imported photos for advertising.
4. iCloud sync and Apple services
- When iCloud sync is enabled, supported files and metadata may sync through Apple's CloudKit private database within your personal iCloud account.
- Bookmarks may sync through iCloud when sync is enabled. Browsing history remains local to the device and app instance.
- H9B3 does not operate its own separate account system or independent cloud file storage for normal use of Spook Box.
- App behavior related to iCloud, Photos, file access, sharing, and system previews may depend on Apple platform settings, permissions, and service availability.
5. Third-party services
- Apple App Store for distribution, payment processing, and platform-level purchase handling.
- Apple iCloud and CloudKit for optional sync using your personal iCloud account.
- Apple Photos, system file pickers, and system share sheets when you choose to import or share content.
- Any destination or recipient you intentionally choose when using system sharing features.
6. Data retention
- Files and related app data stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, reset app data, remove the app, or otherwise clear them.
- If iCloud sync is enabled, supported synced data may remain associated with your iCloud account until you delete the content or disable the related sync behavior.
- H9B3 does not maintain a separate long-term file database for normal app usage outside Apple services used on your behalf.
- If you contact support, H9B3 may retain your email correspondence for a reasonable period for support, security, legal, or record-keeping purposes.
7. Your choices
- You can manage file access, Photos permissions, biometric settings, and sharing permissions through the operating system and Apple account settings.
- You can enable or disable iCloud sync in the app settings when that option is available.
- You can delete files, empty Trash, clear cache, reset app data, or uninstall the app.
8. Children's privacy
Spook Box is not directed to children under 13, and H9B3 does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
9. Security
- Spook Box includes app lock features such as PIN, biometric authentication, and automatic lock to help protect access.
- Security for your Apple account, iCloud data, device, and Apple platform services also depends on Apple systems and your own device configuration.
10. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If it changes, the updated text and effective date will be posted on this page.
