What should I do if biometric authentication does not work?
Use your PIN to unlock the app. Biometric authentication depends on Face ID, Touch ID, or device settings provided by Apple,
so temporary failures can often be resolved by retrying or checking the device-level biometric settings.
What happens if I forget my PIN?
Spook Box does not provide account-based PIN recovery. If you can still unlock the app with biometrics or your current PIN,
change the PIN in Settings. If you cannot unlock the app, contact support before deleting the app or resetting data, because
a reset may remove local app data and lock settings.
How do I get sync working on another device?
Make sure the devices are signed into the same iCloud account, that iCloud sync is enabled in Spook Box settings, and that
the device has network access. Sync timing can vary because the app relies on Apple CloudKit and only shows files when they
are ready to open locally.
How do I import files or photos into the vault?
On iOS, use the system file picker, share sheet, or Photos access flow. On macOS, you can import from the app, drag items
from Finder, or import from Apple Photos where supported. Photos access depends on the permission you grant on the device.
Can deleted files be recovered?
Files moved to Trash can be restored until they are permanently deleted or removed by the automatic trash cleanup setting.
Once a file is permanently deleted, recovery may no longer be available inside the app.
How does the built-in browser store my data?
Bookmarks can sync through the same iCloud account when sync is enabled. Visit history is stored locally in the app. Downloads
can be saved into Spook Box so they appear in your vault.
What languages does the app support?
Spook Box supports multiple languages. Current support includes Korean, English, Russian, Spanish
(Mexico), Spanish (Spain), Arabic, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional),
Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), French (Canada), and French (France).
